How to deactivate and reactivate the terminal webpage.

How to deactivate and reactivate the terminal webpage.

The ability to deactivate the terminal webpage has been added to firmware version 7.48.5.1 in response to concerns about the theoretical security risk of running PHP version 5.6.38 which is used to power the terminal webpage.

Once the firmware has been updated log into the terminal by entering its IP address into any browser on a PC on the local network.
Enter the daily MFUTIL PIN (call Mitrefinch support to obtain this).

Click Web server

Click Disable then OK to confirm.

The terminal will now reboot and the webpage will be unavailabe.  PHP will not be running.

To reactivate the terminal webpage you will need physical access to the clock or Access unit in question.  In the case of an Access unit you will need to connect an engineers keyboard to access the settings.
For a clock Press and hold F1, F2 and 2 for 8-10 seconds until the clock reboots.
During the boot process press F1 when the name William Ellis is visible on the screen.
Enter the PIN 1951
You will see:
                                    Special menu
                                    SETUP
Press F1 until you see
                                    Disable web server
                                    YES
Press the large button with the Mitrefinch logo on it
Press F1
You will see:
                                    Disable web server
                                    No
Press the large button with the Mitrefinch logo on it
Press F1
You will see:
                                    Please Wait
For a few seconds and the clock will reboot with the web server enabled.
