Supervisor toolbar

The Supervisor toolbar is displayed at the top of the Dashboard and contains two pop-up drop-down lists for selecting a Group of Employees or a single Employee depending on the type of function you wish to perform. For example, you may wish to view and/or edit the Timesheet for a Group of Employees or the details for a single Employee.


Select an Employee

To use any of the TMS functions for a single Employee, you must first locate the required Employee. Depending on the details you know about the Employee you can either select the Employee from the Employee drop-down list or search for the Employee within the drop-down list.


There are two ways to select an Employee. If you know the Employee's name or reference number, the easiest way to select him or her is to use the Employee drop-down list available in the pop-up menu when clicked:



Alternatively, you can use the arrow buttons to select the previous or next Employee in the list. These are located to the right side of the selected Employee from the Employee drop-down list:




If you do not know the full details of an Employee, you can find the required person by clicking the Employee drop-down list and using the search function:



Enter the details for the department number, Employee name, initials, or reference number and the drop-down list will automatically truncate to the matches of your search.


You can also enter partial details. For example, if you know that an Employee's reference number begins with 3944, entering this into the search box will find all Employees whose reference number contains '3944'.


Click on the relevant Employee in the list then click the  Apply  button. The pop-up will close and the selected Employee will be displayed in the Employee drop-down list. You will be able to view various details about him or her, and make any permitted amendments to the Employee's record.


Select a group

Employees can be grouped according to different criteria such as 'Department' or 'Title' depending on the selected Group field in the Selection options. As a Supervisor you can view and/or edit the details of a group of Employee's registered on the system. To do this select the appropriate group from the Group drop-down list pop-up. In the example below, Employees have been grouped by 'Department':



Similar to the Employee drop-down list, you are able to search within the Group drop-down list and also use the arrow buttons to the right of the drop-down list to select the previous or next Group in the list.

Note: The Group list will change to an extended Group drop-down list if the Preference Use extended selection is checked in the Selection options page.
