Mitrefinch Engineering Covid-19 On Site Policy

Mitrefinch Engineering Covid-19 On Site Policy

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Engineering Attendance on-site Policy

Introduction

Mitrefinch are committed to business continuity during this challenging time,

Where we are sending our staff to your premises, we need to be certain that the necessary steps to prevent transmission of disease are followed.

This document is issued ahead of all on-site Engineering works, and by accommodating our Engineers on-site, we will deem your review and acceptance of the policies.

Policy

Communication

Your company aligns with all advice published by statutory bodies from time to time, and you confirm that this and any related procures and actions are being communicated to, and observed by, all of your employees.

Good Hygiene Practices

You confirm that the site(s) at which we are required to work have appropriate hand-washing facilities available to our Engineers and that all employees on site are following good hygiene practices, these include:

  • Washing hands thoroughly and regularly for a minimum of 20 seconds
  •  Supplies of appropriate soaps and alcohol-based hand sanitisers are available
  • Avoiding touching face/eyes/nose/mouth with unwashed hands
  • Covering their mouth when coughing or sneezing using their elbow or a tissue which is then thrown away
  • Regularly clean all hand washing facilities and replenishing soap and/or sanitiser
  • Provision of suitable and sufficient rubbish bins for disposal of hand towels with regular removal and disposal

Minimal contact with others

Social distancing, maintaining a minimum distance of two metres from each other, is being observed on site.

You confirm also that these measures will be implemented and supported for any employees who meet Mitrefinch engineers.

Controlling access to site

Where appropriate you have assessed and implemented the following practices:

  • Stopped all non-essential visitors from coming to your site(s)
  • Arranged for employees to work from home where possible
  • Monitoring of site access points to enable social distancing
  • Requiring all employees to wash and clean their hands as they enter or leave the site
  • Monitoring social distancing where possible in the workplace

  • Regularly cleaning common contact surfaces in reception, office, access control, sanitary and delivery areas

Those showing symptoms onsite

If any employee develops COVID-19 symptoms including (but not limited to, as defined by the NHS or other appropriate body) a high temperature and/or a persistent or continuous cough which carrying out their role we expect that they:

  • Stop work immediately and report to the appropriate person
  • Are isolated from the other employees and sent home without delay
  • Follow governmental advice on self-isolation and do not return to work until their period of recommended isolation has been completed

Possible exposure or confirmed cases

If an employee has been exposed to someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or have tested positive for the virus themselves, you confirm that they are supported in, and following, government prescribed self-isolation for the appropriate period.

You confirm that they are supported in not returning to work until the recommended isolation period has elapsed.

Summary

We appreciate these are unprecedented times, but we must ensure the Health and Safety of our employees.  If you are unable to confirm that appropriate measures are in place, we will postpone the visit until you are able to.

If while on site, our Engineer observes non-compliance and feels at risk, they will raise to the appropriate local person, and will leave your site and call their manager for further advice.

If we have to cease work, we will deem the visit to be cancelled and subject to contracted terms.

We will also ask for your confirmation that any issues have been resolved before attending again.

Reciprocation

We confirm that Mitrefinch employees adhere to all current government advice and are fully supported by us in taking all necessary steps to avoid transmission of virus, just as we expect you to in this policy.

We seek to protect your employees to the same extent as our own.
