Flexipay backup instructions - Depersonalised
How to create a Depersonalised Flexipay Backup
Flexipay has a facility to create a depersonalised copy of your data whereby all personal data such as names, addresses, NI numbers and bank account numbers will be randomised. The original data will not be changed during this process. Below are instructions on how to perform this.
- Within Flexipay click on the menu Help > About Flexipay and click on the Create randomised copy button.

- The current data directory will be automatically selected within the Data directory, but if required can be changed. If you have been requested to include additional information (i.e. Audit) then enable the relevant option and click on OK to commence. Please note this process may take some time if the data is large and any additional information will also be depersonalised.
- You will be then prompted for the location where you wish to save the MFINFO.ZIP which contains the depersonalised copy of the data. Then select a suitable location such as your Desktop (as shown in the example below) and click on OK.
- Once completed a confirmation message will appear stating ‘Process complete’ then upload the ZIP file using the data upload instructions which are located in a separate article.
