The Mitrefinch clocks can be configured to generate clockings without setting a direction first by following the method below:
It will enable employees to make a directionless clocking that the Poller will interpret as In out Out depending on the context without having to press a button on the unit itself. It will not disable any existing modes.
Log into Wintms or Access control and go to Launch -> Site planner
Double click on the clock you wish to modify the configuration for. This will display the Terminal details window.
Make a note of the name of the Configuration file name as any changes made may also apply to any other clocks that share it when the configuration is applied.
Click Edit to open the Configuration editor -> Configuration -> Data Entry -> None - Badge swipe only -> Edit
->
Check the Enabled box and click Reader 1... -> on the Transaction tab set TMS in/out to Toggle, Store data to Valid only. Flextime and Trigger relays will probably be set to Normal and None but refer to the same panel on Function key 1 if in doubt.
->
On the Access tab select In employee table and again refer to the Function key 1 setting for the other items they will probably be set as the example below. The same applies to the Messages tab. It will probably look like this.
->
Click OK -> OK -> Close then go to File -> Save
Close the Configuration editor and on the Terminal details window make a note of what key mapping set is in use then click Define.
Highlight the set that the clock was set to use and click Edit.
Find a blank line at the bottom of the list and click on the ...
And set the definition like this: ->OK
This will add a line to the set like this:
Click OK -> Close the Terminal details window and click Save on the Site planner.
Go to File -> Monitor mode
Right click on the Poller icon (this may be labelled as Poller, PC1, server etc) Add command -> Send Poller dormant -> change the Time to remain Dormant to 1 minute -> OK
->
Wait for the Polller to restart then Right-click on the clock -> Add command -> Configure -> OK
->
The
process only take a moment to complete. Test then repeat for any other
units required. Clocks that share the same configuration ank key
mapping set will only need the configuration sending as the last step.
Repeat the entire process for any clocks that use a different configuration file.
