Changes to SSP backdating automatic calculation

Changes to SSP backdating automatic calculation

Flexipay backdates SSP if any changes are made to the SSP calculation. Normally, this happens automatically.

As of version 2.53.0.1 SSP backdating will no longer backdate into a previous year automatically. In the unlikely event that you need to recalculate an old SSP, you can still do it in the SSP diary, but a confirmation will appear if the SSP ends more than 6 months and ends in or before the previous tax year.

This warning will also appear if you have an SSP period that does not yet form a 4 day PIW (for example a period of SSP that is 2 days at the end of a pay period). This means the previous period of PIW is not replaced, and Flexipay still recognises that the previous PIW was more than six months ago. In this case, users should ensure that the SSP days/weeks payable fields are correct. When the PIW is updated for the next pay period, the previous period of PIW will be updated to the new one and prevent this message.
