Automatic recalculation of SMP, SPP etc.
You are now able to automatically calculate SMP, SPP etc. as
part of the normal payroll calculation, which is independent of the similar
previously released setting for SSP.
To set, navigate to System>Maintain pay groups. Select
the relevant pay group and select Modify, go to the Miscellaneous tab
and tick the Automatically calculate SMP, SPP etc. option.
The SMP details should be entered once in the normal SMP
screen and SMP will be calculated each pay period when it is due, without
having to go back into the SMP screen. This also applies to SPP, SAP etc.
There are five new yes/no fields:
- SMP ave. pay error
- SPP ave. pay error
- SAP ave. pay error
- ShPP ave. pay error
- SPBP ave. pay error
They are set to Y by Flexipay if it cannot automatically
calculate the average pay. You can set them to N if overriding the average pay.
The
check pay report will warn if any of these fields are Y and error if the
average pay is zero.
